The Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Csongrad County (Hungary)

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Csongrad County was established in 2000 as chamber membership became voluntary following a period of 6 years with compulsory membership. The Chamber is involved in economic development and entrepreneurship of nearly 3000 members nationwide. Their role in the EU accession is to help their businesses keep pace with international competition, building good working relationships and offer advice and consultation on all matters. The Csongrad County Chamber operate the Central and East European Business Information Centre and registry giving direct access to many trading SMEs. It plays a significant role in offering workplace vocational training courses, for which it may charge a small fee. The organisation will play a major role in collating information from SMEs and then incorporating it into their training schemes. They have extensive knowledge of the training requirements of their businesses, and of economic importance of improving international trade.

Their role will include implementation of the Audit Scheme in Hungary, setting-up of auditors training workshops, train 5 auditors and audit 10 SMEs followed by validation and dissemination of the results with the objective of furthering the awareness among Hungarian SMEs of the need for a more focussed approach to communication with trading partners in Europe in order to consolidate trade relationships.
