British Chambers of Commerce

The British Chambers of Commerce comprises nationally a network of 60 quality-accredited Chambers of Commerce, all uniquely positioned at the heart of every business community in the UK. Currently over 135,000 businesses benefit from membership of chambers in the Accredited Network, from growth-orientated start-ups to local and regional subsidiaries of multinational companies, in all commercial and industrial sectors, and from all over the UK. They are also part of the global network of Chambers of Commerce, and offer services for existing or potential exporters. They regularly conduct surveys, consultations and reports that provide grassroots business opinion and have strong influence on Government ministers and officials, MPs and other decision makers and opinion formers.

BCC, as holders of the UK government contract for delivering the ECR in the UK, are promoters of EURICA. They are the only organisation in Europe to have extensive experience of managing the scheme which has been in operation since 1995.

Their role will be to enhance the current Training Scheme for auditors/consultants as appropriate. Their role will also include setting-up of scheme management training programme and materials and delivery to potential scheme managers from the partner countries. They will develop the resources and toolkit and adapt for online retrieval. They will be key in the dissemination of the project beyond the partnership as well as to SMEs in the UK.
